Regarding the gang’s modus operandi, according to ELAS, the members of the organization used a van-type truck, with which they traveled to areas of the southern suburbs and looked for electric skates, which they either removed completely or their parts.
ELAS proceeded to dismantle a criminal group, which was active, at least since the end of December 2022, in the systematic theft of electric skates and their parts in Glyfada, Vari, Voula and Vouliagmeni.
In particular, 3 members of the gang who had earlier removed three batteries of electric skates in Vari were arrested yesterday (4/1) by police officers of the Direct Action Directorate of Attica. A case file was filed against them for participation in a criminal organization, distinguished cases of theft, as well as for violating the legislation on addictive substances.

In the investigations carried out, the following were found and confiscated: a van-type truck, burglary tools, 3 mobile phones, 1,197 euros and a small amount of cocaine.
From the preliminary investigation so far, a total of 21 cases of theft have been discovered, while the amount of damage exceeds the amount of 17,000 euros.
Those arrested with the case filed against them were taken to the competent prosecution authority.
