“Battle” to keep alive gives 11 year old boy who was transported by plane at noon on Saturday from Ioannina to the “Agia Sophia” Children’s Hospital.
According to the treating doctors, the little boy has coronavirus and is hospitalized in a critical condition in the ICU of the hospital.
Late at noon on Saturday, it became possible to airlift an 11-year-old from Hatzikosta Hospital in Athens.
The doctors deemed it necessary to transport him to Athens late on Friday night. Due to the dense fog, the aircraft that arrived in Ioannina was unable to land. Landing was impossible for the same reasons on Saturday morning.
Thus, the 11-year-old was transported by EKAV ambulance to Aktion airport where he was picked up by an aircraft.
He was transported to the “Agia Sophia” Children’s Hospital where he is fighting for his life.
