The absolute nightmare a 23-year-old girl from Albania lived for months, as according to her complaint, a 33-year-old compatriot who ordered her to work, locked her in an apartment in Exarchia and released her against her will.
At noon on Saturday, the 33-year-old, who was escorting the young girl to an apartment in Exarchia, was arrested by police officers of the Directorate for Countering Organized Crime.
The 33-year-old allegedly approached the 23-year-old girl claiming to be nightclub owner shop, while he offered her a job saying she could work in his shop selling flowers. The girl was hesitant at first, but in May she agreed to work with him.
Then the man led her to apartment in Exarchia, telling her that he would host her for a while. However, he locked her in the apartment and with the use of physical violence forced her to surrender.
The 33-year-old was closed through an office love dates at least four dates a day for the 23-year-old. According to the police, the price of each appointment amounted to 150 euros, of which 50 was taken by the office that made the appointments and the remaining 100 was kept by the 33-year-old.
From the investigation it emerged that he had been sending the girl out since May, while the sum of 6,890 euros, the car in which he took her to the appointments and a small amount of cannabis were found and confiscated at his house.
The arrested person was taken to the criminal prosecutor of Athens, while the investigation into his participation in similar cases continues.
