The Special Purpose Company for the utilization of the real estate of e-EFKA is in operation

Experienced and accomplished executives from the private sector took over the positions of president and managing director

The Special Purpose Company is put into operation for its exploitation Real Estate of e-EFKA with the placement of two experienced and accomplished private sector executives in the positions of President and CEO. The Special Purpose Company will contribute, among other things, to the increase in e-EFKA revenues for the benefit of the 6.5 million insured persons and by extension to the support of our insurance system.

Specifically, the position of President of the Special Purpose Company is assumed by Mr. Filippos Kontaxis with a long career in the field of real estate development. He started in the Navy, then moved into the real estate market, first with a family business and then as General Manager of ETVA VIPE for a decade. More recently, he has been a management consultant at ROLCO BIANIL and managing director at AFOI KONTAXI SA (production and trading of electricity from renewable sources).

She is placed in the position of Managing Director Mrs. Katerina Joannou, civil engineer, with postgraduate studies in Service Management. Since 2013, he has been a senior executive in real estate management and development. Until today he was Project Manager for real estate matters at TEMES SA. (Costa Navarino). Previously he coordinated the purchase of lands and overcoming related problems in the TAP (Trans Adriatic Pipeline). He has also worked, among others, as an executive of MOD and as a consultant to DEPA for the development of natural gas pipelines.

The operation of the Special Purpose Company for the utilization of Real Estate is part of the overall upgrade of e-EFKA and the services it offers to the insured pursuant to Law 4892/2022 for the modernization of the Agency. The one goal of the Company is the immediate utilization and management of the Agency’s properties and the strengthening of its income as well as the insurance system. It is recalled that the Agency has 400 properties throughout the country, with a total objective value of more than 1 billion euros and at least 20% – which concerns properties of great value – is currently utilized with great difficulty. The second objective is the immediate upgrade of the building facilities in which the e-EFKA services are housed.

With its efficient operation Company significant financial benefits will be produced for the Agency and all its services will be housed in modern buildings, upgrading the level of service for the 6.5 million insured.
