“She crossed the dividing line and abused her position to promote problematic technologies on which the European Parliament has not made decisions,” says German MEP Patrick Breyer.
“If you knew that tech companies had the ability to identify and remove this content or even prevent the abuse from happening but a law stood in the way of you giving your child a better life would you be okay with that? Ashton Kutcher had reported.

“Since we haven’t done very well so far we have to do it through legislation, we have to strengthen the law, this is a choice and we can’t do too little, too late. Every day that goes by, children are being exploited,” Ms. Kaili had stated.
In the wake of Kaili’s arrest for corruption, German MEP Patrick Breyer called for the investigation to be extended to her technology activities.
Patrick Breyer puts Eva’s sister Madalena, who has founded non-profit companies for technology issues, in the frame of the case.
Ms. Kaili’s advocate, Michalis Dimitrakopoulos, responds to the criticism, saying that there was no transaction of financial interest.
Kaili’s new release request will be discussed by the Brussels judicial council between January 19 and 21.
