As uninhabitable, since the earthquakes in Lesvos, 17 houses have been declared uninhabitable.
Also, a business premises and a public building have been deemed unsuitable, according to the Ministry of Infrastructure.
As noted, inspections and autopsies by engineers of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport continue today, Wednesday, January 11, at an unabated pace, in residences, business premises and public buildings in the affected areas in the municipalities of Mithymna and Mandamado of Lesvos.
Yesterday, Tuesday, there was a 4.8 Richter earthquake, while last Saturday the initial earthquake of 4.9 Richter occurred.
In the affected areas, the damage to the affected buildings (residences, public buildings, schools, health centers) is assessed by engineers of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.
By the end of yesterday, autopsies have been conducted in 109 buildings:
– Of these, 99 concern residences, of which 17 have been deemed uninhabitable.
– Also, 6 business premises have been checked, of which 1 is unsuitable.
– Regarding the holy temples and public buildings, 1 out of 3 autopsies has been labeled “yellow”, while in other buildings (warehouses, stables) 1 was deemed uninhabitable.
