Serious incident and smoke detectors at the Lyceum of Patras

Scenes of unprecedented ferocity took place in a high school in Patras. Yesterday at noon, more than 10 students of the 3rd Lyceum reached the point of chasing a teacher!

The incident happened in front of the frightened eyes of their classmates, including younger classes, while information states that some of them hit the teacher!

At the same time, students lit smoke bombs in the classrooms, with the school “turning red” and the atmosphere looking “warlike”.

The Police were called to the scene, as well as EKAV, in order to determine if the professor had a problem. Other information states that 3 students experienced respiratory problems from the fumes.

Typical is the post on the internet by the mother of a high school student, whose child and other children were forced to leave the school one after the other. The cause of the incidents remains – officially at least – unknown.

Secondary education: “Emergency measures”

“Peloponnisos” addressed the director of Secondary Education of Achaia, Eugenia Pierri, who had been informed of the incident by the schools’ management. “The two managers informed me that there was a bang. They immediately took the prescribed measures for the safety of the students and acted according to what is foreseen in an emergency situation. At the same time, they informed the Police.”

To “P’s” question if there were any injuries, Mrs. Pierri replied: “I was not told anything like that by the school management.”

He added: “The police will do their work and we will do ours. We will take all necessary measures. It is impermissible to do such things within school communities. Those who don’t want to go to school, don’t go. But those who go will respect the space. The school is sacred and we will protect it in every way and means.”
