EL.AS: Details of the fake doctor in the public domain – He is being prosecuted for manslaughter and subsequent fraud

The Greek Police released the details of the fake doctor, who is accused of defrauding dozens of patients with serious illnesses, resulting in the death of five of them, as they stopped their real treatment.

According to the announcement of EL.AS, following a relevant Order of the Thessaloniki First Instance Prosecutor’s Office, the identity information and photographs of a citizen, against whom a criminal prosecution was brought, were made public for:

• continuous fraud, carried out both in an attempt and jointly, with damage that was caused and intended and exceeds the sum of 120,000 jointly and that the perpetrators with their partial acts anticipated the total financial benefit resulting from the continuous performance and the total property damage,
• manslaughter by serial negligence and by common omission;
• attempted homicide by serial and joint omission;
• grievous bodily harm serially together,
• money laundering from criminal activity in the form of concealment regarding the use of property or the place where it is located, knowing the fact that it comes from criminal activity and that the object of the money laundering exceeds the amount of 120,000 euros and that the perpetrator exercises such kind of professional activities,

It is about:

The specific disclosure, according to the relevant Prosecutor’s Order, aims to protect and defend the public interest, prevent a threat to public security, as well as the recognition of the above by other victims, in order to identify his further action.

In this context, citizens are requested to contact the telephone numbers 2310-388370, 2310-388375, 2310-388424 and 2310-388425 of the Department of Prosecution of Criminal Organizations and Transnational Affairs of the Sub-Directorate for Combating Organized Crime and Human Trafficking and the sub-office of the Thessaloniki Security Directorate, for the provision of any relevant information. It is noted that the anonymity and confidentiality of the communication is guaranteed.

It is pointed out that this publication is valid until 16-07-2023, according to the Prosecutor’s Order. Beyond this time limit, the retention and/or reproduction of the disclosure of the above data is not permitted and is against the law.
