In the courts two Greeks aged 40 and 50 respectively were found todaywho are facing charges of perjury and criminal aiding and abetting, because while they were initially called as witnesses and testified that they had not spoken to or had contact with the defendants, as it emerged from video footage, they were provided with accommodation, clothes to change after their murderous act as well as helping them to escape.

As emerged from the preliminary investigation, the two alleged perpetrators had an appointment last Friday morning with the 47-year-old victim, at the junction of Solonos and Hydra streets in the center of Kalamata. There the 38-year-old defendant, who was riding in a car with the 22-year-old defendant, got out of the vehicle and argued with the victim who was on his motorcycle. He first punched him and then shot him once in the leg with a pistol. The 47-year-old was initially transported by EKAV ambulance to the Kalamata General Hospital, and a little later succumbed due to the fact that he had lost a lot of blood from his bullet-hit leg. The perpetrators disappeared and a short time later abandoned their vehicle in the area of ​​Kitria in the municipality of West Mani.

THE 38-year-old escapes arrest and is wanted.
