What the forensic report showed, the results of the histological examinations are awaited
Ischemia of the myocardium and severe infection of the respiratory system (pneumonia) were the causes that led to the death of 10-year-old Konstantinos Perdiou from Kissos, according to the forensic report, while histological tests have also been ordered.
The medical examiner Mr. Kravaritis in his report is clear regarding the child’s death from pathological causes, while the severe infection, i.e. pneumonia, was what caused the ischemia.
The 10-year-old’s parents can’t believe it “lost” within a few hours, with his father stating that the child did not face any other health problems apart from the motor ones.
The forensic examination of Mr. Kravaritis confirmed what the doctors of the Volos Hospital recorded in their own report, and the disconsolate father believes that if there had been a Children’s ICU, the child would have been saved.
The prosecutor’s investigation is ongoing with depositions to be given by all the doctors who examined the child.
The student of the 1st Special Primary School of Agria, was transferred to the Hospital on Friday, with a high fever and at the urging of a private doctor to his parents. The symptoms showed influenza type A and despite the superhuman efforts of the medical staff, he did not make it. He suffered a cardiac arrest on Saturday.
