They were waiting for roadside assistance, two men ended up in handcuffs in Heraklion, Crete
An incredible incident happened last night in Heraklion, Crete, when three men traveling in an SUV called the roadside assistance as their vehicle broke down.
Roadside assistance arrived and loaded the vehicle to take it to the workshop. Unfortunately for them, however, they ran into police officers from the Heraklion Narcotics Enforcement Department who, conducting a check, found 13 kilos of hashish in the car that was being transported.
The policemen of the Heraklion Narcotics Prosecution Department, after stopping them, checked the three men and the car that was being transported by roadside assistance, finding 12 kilograms and 840 grams of cannabis! Three people, aged 44, 23 and 31, were arrested.
A search of the 31-year-old’s home followed, during which the following were found and seized:
- 449.2 grams of cannabis,
- 36 cartridges,
- 4 mobile phones and
- high accuracy weight scale
In addition, the ICHE car was confiscated as a means of committing criminal acts.
The preliminary investigation is ongoing by the Narcotics Prosecution Department of the Heraklion Security Sub-Directorate.
