Crisis in EL.AS: 12 brigadier generals retire, seven are promoted

Seven Brigadier Generals of General Duties were deemed eligible for the rank of Lieutenant General, to fill vacant organizational positions of this rank, while 12 Brigadier Generals are retiring.

After the judgment of the Lieutenant Generals, the judgments of the Brigadier Generals of the Hellenic Police were completed late last night by the Supreme Council of the Corps, under the Chairmanship of the Chief of the Greek Police, Lieutenant General Konstantinos Koumas and the participation of Lieutenant Generals of the Corps Lazaros Mavropoulos and Georgios Douvalis.

Seven Brigadier Generals of General Duties were deemed eligible for the rank of Lieutenant General, to fill vacant organizational positions of this rank, while 12 Brigadier Generals are retiring.

The following were promoted to the rank of lieutenant general:

• Bouloubasis Christos

• Poupouzas Panagiotis

• Manouras Christos

• Bakolas Dimitrios

• Vassiliou George

• George Papadopoulos

• Monk Charalambos

The following 12 General Duties Brigadier Generals, who are promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General outside organic positions and will be demobilized after 30 days, by another Presidential Decree, were deemed to have successfully completed their careers:

• German Thomas

• Kostoulas Vassilios

• Christodoulidis Asimakis

• Dalachanis Ioannis

• Karaiskos Georgios

• Papadimos Dimitrios

• Nestor Thomas

• Doschoris Spyridon

• Anthoulis Konstantinos

• Manousopoulos Polychronis

• Kiamili Hounda Maria

• Economopoulos Michael

Judgments will continue at the discretion of the Chiefs of Police.
