Roads that are closed due to bad weather

It is in progress bad weather which affects the whole country and in Attica it manifests itself with heavy rains which have the consequence of flooding roads and stopping traffic in some places.

In particular, according to the Traffic:

• Vehicular traffic has been restored Harilaou Trikoupi street from the height of Navarinou street which had been closed due to subsidence
• Traffic on the provincial road was restored Alepochori – Schinou road

It is noted stoppage of vehicular traffic:

1. Vavronos Avenue in Keratea, at the location “Gefyraki Faucet” in both traffic streams
2. In the “Vardas” bridge, in Rafina towards L. Marathonos due to water overflow and heavy rainfall
3. On L. Poseidonos at the height of the Old Hippodrome upstream towards Piraeus due to accumulation of water – an operation is underway to pump it out and traffic is conducted from the right lane.

ELAS recommends to citizens who are in areas where severe weather phenomena occur to avoid unnecessary travel. In the event that it is necessary to move, they should take special precautionary measures following the instructions of the Traffic Police, as well as other co-competent Authorities.
