He stayed 10 minutes at the investigative office where he stated that he feared for his life

For a quarter of a minute or so, he remained at investigative agency the “Maximos Sarafis” who apologized for a heavy indictment which makes him a protagonist in a criminal group that defrauded businessmen.

Apologizing the 50-year-oldwho has been remanded in custody for the case, has reportedly pleaded not guilty to the charges against him.

The defendant, who in a public statement claims that his involvement is due to parastatal methods for reasons of revanchism, is reported to have also said that he fears for his life.

Mr. Filistoras Destebasidis, as his real name is, probably will be called again by the investigator to apologize additionally as the case file that has been filed against him so far only concerns the part of the case related to the alleged activity of a criminal organization and the offense of fraud.

So when it is completed, with the completion of the remaining elements of the investigation, the person considered to be the main defendant in the case will be asked to give his own version of what the authorities will attribute to him.

The defendant’s position, represented by Mr. Konstantinos Gogos, is that the case file is vague with many gaps and unanswered questions.
