With plastic basins placed between the desks are teaching when it is raining students at the 20th Primary School of Aroi.

The incredible images were taken just last Thursday, when the severe bad weather also hit Patras. Images that eloquently describe the third-world situation that has prevailed for the last three whole years in this school: Every time, but every time it rains, the classrooms, mainly of the First, Second and Third classes, are flooded with water, which runs non-stop from the ceilings!

RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK FROM WATER

At the same time, however, the teachers’ nightmare remains vigilant as danger lurks. And this, because the water runs right next to the light fixtures and the electric cables, which are scattered on the ceilings of the halls! Perhaps miraculously, there has fortunately not been an electric shock to date, with tragic consequences for the 6- and 8-year-old children, as well as the teachers who are in the classrooms…

At the same time, a question also arises about the static safety of the halls and their roof, due to the prolonged corrosion and stress that the building has received, from the waters that consume it with every downpour. The photos – , reveal the problem, as it appears the walls are soaked with moisture and swollen with corrosion!
