Condolences to the relatives of Lieutenant General (I) Marios – Michael Turoutsikas, who at the age of 29 lost his life in the line of duty, as a co-pilot in an F-4, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias expresses with his post on Twitter.

He also expresses his condolences to the “big family of our Air Force”, but also the hope that the search for the pilot of the fighter aircraft will have a happy ending.

As announced by the GEA, today at 10:30, a two-seater F-4 Phantom II aircraft of the 338 Squadron of the 117th Fighter Wing, which was performing a training flight, crashed in the sea area 25 nautical miles south of Andravidas airport, resulting in the fatal injury of co-pilot, sub-captain (I) Marios – Michael Turoutsikas, 29 years old, while the investigations continue for the captain, captain (I) Efstathios Tsitlakidis, 31 years old.
