The meeting of the committee of experts of the ministry was completed, in the context of the continuous epidemiological surveillance, under the shadow of the prevalence of the “Omicron” variant and evaluation of the measures taken to reduce the spread of the virus.

  • For the entertainment venues it was decided to operate until 12 midnight only for vaccinated customers and without standing. At the same time, a limit of 6 people per table is imposed. What applies to entertainment will also apply to catering.
  • For the stadiums it was decided to operate with fullness at 10% and with a ceiling of 1,000-2,000 spectators.
  • Also, for catering and hospital workers it was decided to use a double mask or high protection KN95
  • Postponement of school trips

Regarding teleworking, the experts’ proposal is to increase it to 50%, while for the issue of music in catering and entertainment, a decision will be made later.

According to information at the meeting of the committee, the idea was expressed that the vaccination certificate should last for 7 months for those who do not proceed with the booster dose. This issue cannot be reconsidered at the next meeting of the committee on Wednesday, December 29.

The Minister of Health Thanos Plevris today at 17.30 will make announcements about the measures of the pandemic at the Ministry of Health. .
