DYPA: New program for the integration of 3,000 long-term unemployed, over 56, into the private sector

Today, Thursday, February 2, 2023, business applications for inclusion in the “business grant program to hire 3,000 unemployed people aged 56 and over who completed the grant program for the employment of long-term unemployed people aged 55-67” began.

As the Public Employment Service (DYPA) states in its announcement, the aim of the action is to support the transition of those who worked in subsidized jobs in the public sector, through the relevant program of the DYPA, to full-time jobs in the private sector.

The “bridging program” in the private sector subsidizes the employment of unemployed people aged 56 and over who have completed at least the first 12 months of the long-term unemployed people aged 55-67 employment grant programme.

The duration of the grant is 12 months and the grant is 715 euros per month for each hire.

The budget of the program amounts to 25,755,000 euros and will be covered by DYPA resources.
