Schools in areas of Attica that still have problems from the bad weather will remain closed on Wednesday, February 8. The People’s Markets will be open in all municipalities.
The Regional Governor of Attica G. Patoulis, after consultation with the 66 municipalities of Attica, the EMY forecasts and the relevant information from the meteorologists Th. of Protection and Education made the decision that Primary and Secondary Education schools in areas still facing problems from the bad weather will remain closed tomorrow. Regarding the operation of the nurseries and the attendance times at the schools, the municipalities as competent will make relevant announcements.
In detail, how the Primary and Secondary Education schools will operate in all the Regional Units (RUs) of Attica:
P. E. OF EASTERN ATTICA
Closed in municipalities:

In the municipality of Marathon: they will be closed in Varnava-Grammatiko and open in Marathona-N. Makri

· Municipality of Kropias (Everything is open. Only the Special School of the Municipality of Kropias is closed)

The Regional Governor of Attica G. Patoulis points out in this regard: “The decision on the operation or not of the schools is made based on the assessment of the data we have, both from the municipal authorities and at the level of meteorological assessments. Our absolute priority remains the safety of students, their parents and educational staff. The village deputy governors, the deputy governors of Civil Protection, Finance and Education and all our executives are constantly mobilized in order to deal with any issues that arise”.
