DYPA’s goal is to systematically strengthen its mediating role in the labor market and to achieve the effective coupling of labor supply and demand. In this direction, DYPA’s “Career Day” makes a decisive contribution, which has positive results for the unemployed and companies, as, in many cases, recruitment takes place immediately after the event, with the process of finding suitable personnel to continue in the next period of time, with obvious benefits both for those looking for work and for the businesses that meet their needs. After all, DYPA, by organizing such events, sets as its main priority to help the workforce find stable and quality jobs and businesses to find the right staff.
Speaking to APE-MPE, the governor of DYPA, Spyros Protopsaltis, states that, after 1.5 years, DYPA’s “Career Day” events are now an established institution, “as evidenced by the great response from businesses, the requests that we receive from local bodies, to organize corresponding events in cities throughout Greece and the positive comments of the citizens who come”.
“In the 13 “Career Days” that we have organized, 600 companies have participated, with 15,000 jobs and, for this reason, we decided that the 2nd event in Athens will last for two days, in order to give the opportunity to as many of our fellow citizens looking for a job as possible. to talk with executives of 120 companies from all branches of economic activity, who are looking for candidates for over 3,000 jobs” points out the DYPA commander.
In fact, he underlines that it is a priority of DYPA to provide the unemployed, workers and businesses with “all the modern means that lead to the successful pairing of labor supply and demand and contribute to the central goal of combating unemployment and increasing employment in our country”.
In this context, DYPA proceeded to strengthen the Service Unit for Medium and Large Enterprises (MEMME), establishing constant communication with the HR departments of enterprises, which are looking for qualified personnel, with knowledge and skills that correspond to the jobs they have.
