The wife of the 36-year-old “gunman” to the prosecutor

At the same time, the wife of the 36-year-old fugitive has been in the hands of the authorities since yesterday. Last night, the police officers searched the home of the attacker, where they found and seized weapons. His wife was also in the house and was arrested for weapons offences. He is expected to be brought before the prosecutor today.

How the bloody incident happened

The 36-year-old fugitive was under police surveillance as convictions were pending against him. According to information from cretapost, the police officers during an operation saw the 36-year-old man stopping with his vehicle on a main street of Gazi in order to buy a coffee.

The 36-year-old leaves the cafeteria and gets into his car. Then the police decide to show up and arrest the fugitive after locking him in the car.

The fugitive, however, did not hesitate to take out his gun and start shooting indiscriminately at the police. One bullet finds the 35-year-old policeman while a second bullet finds a 22-year-old man who at the time was walking behind the policemen. The injured young man was taken inside the cafeteria in order to protect himself. The police respond to the shooting and injure the assailant before arresting him. EKAB ambulances were called to the scene and picked up the three men and transported them to the University General Hospital of Heraklion.
