Jaylen Hands was born on February 12, 1999 in San Diego, California and is 1.91 meters high. He is familiar with the Greek public as he has fought in PAOK and Peristeri in the recent past.

After his second year, he enrolled in Balboa City, where he was a teammate with Deandre Ayton, the future top player in 2017.

In his last year, he completed his transfer to Foothills Christian, where he fought under the direction of coach Brad Leaf, father of Ucla star TJ Leaf. That year, Hands had an average of 29 points, 6.7 rebounds and 6.5 assists per game. He also won the nail competition at Ballislife All-American Game.

Return as unanimously five -star College Recruit, Hands received many suggestions from teams such as Arizona, Louisville and San Diego State, but eventually opted for UCLA.

During his first year he had an average of 9.9 points- 4 rebounds- 2.6 assists playing about 25 minutes per game. The second (2018-2019) with Aaron Holiday’s departure for the NBA took on a leading role in the team. In 33 appearances (all in the top five) and in 31.2 minutes of participation it had an average of 11.6 points- 3.7 rebounds- 6.1 assists- 1.3 steals with 37% in three-pointers (2 well per game in 5.3 prospects).

He was first in PAC-12 in assists and also became a member of the second best five in the region. He decided to register with the NBA Draft and was selected by the Los Angeles Clippers but immediately exchanged and was found in Brooklyn Nets. He competed in the G League with Long Island Nets (11.4 points- 3 rebounds- 3.3 assists and 1 steal).

During 2020-2021 he began his European route from Serbia and FMP (8.3 points- 2.6 rebounds- 1.9 assists in 16 minutes) and the following season he was initially in Germany (MHP Riesen) where he stayed for only 2 races and then in Belgium and Antwerp. In 45 matches in domestic duties and the FIBA Europe Cup averaged 10.3 points- 3.9 rebounds- 2.6 assists.

During the 2022-2023 season he had his first acquaintance with Greece and PAOK where in 40 GBL and BCL matches he had averaging 13.9 points- 3.4 rebounds- 2.5 assists with 37% in three points) while in the 2023-2024 season he was distributed to Peristeri (12 points- 3 points) and 12 points. Palencia (10.2 points- 3.9 rebounds- 2 assists- 1 steal).

Finally last year he competed in Varese where in 30 races he had averaged 19.3 points- 4.1 rebounds- 4.8 assists- 1.3 steals in 31 minutes of presence. There he also made the best records of his career in points (41) apt shots (14) apt three -pointers (9) against Scafati on March 30, 2025.

He was the top scorer in the Italian championship in a set of points (and second in average) while also in the top ten of the assists in the assists.
