His first pan-Hellenic written competition premieres on Saturday, March 4 ASEP for recruitment of permanent staff in the Public and wider Public Sector, with the participation of 108,229 candidates from University and Technological Education categories. A characteristic innovation of this largest, in the 28-year course of the independent authority, competition which does not include the number of positions to be filled, nor organizations requesting staff, is the creation of the so-called “reservoir” of successful candidates, for future announcements by the respective organizations.

In a second stage, their absorption will follow with the issuance of relevant notices by the agencies, at which point they will submit an electronic application for participation. Beginning with the filling of 5,124 vacant positions for the remaining needs of 2022 as well as those of 2023, always in the PE and TE categories. In the context of this period’s recruitment planning, of the total number of positions, 3,502 are for University Education (PE), 1,565 Technological Education (TE) and 57 positions Special Scientific Personnel (SSP).

According to the Minister of the Interior, Makis Voridis, the first immediate filling may concern 1000 additional positions, while the successful candidates will be in their service no later than seven months after the exams.

However, according to the annual recruitment planning (based on the registered vacant organic positions of the bodies) which Mr. Voridis submitted to the cabinet at the beginning of last October, it is necessary to fill approximately 16,000 jobs in public bodies. Positions that the successful candidates from the “reservoir” will be asked to fill as notices will be issued to fill them.

Meanwhile the 108,229 candidates, on Saturday, March 4, will come to the examination centers, 43 Regional Units of the country to be examined in two subjects: At 09:00 in the Test of Skills and Work Efficiency with a maximum examination duration of 2 hours and 45 minutes and at 14:30 in General Knowledge, with a duration of examination time 2 hours and 30 minutes. In both courses the candidates. they should be at the examination centers one hour earlier. (The search for the Center that corresponds to each candidate can be found on the ASEP website (www.asep.gr) by entering: TIN, or AMKA, or ID number)

The examination of both courses will be done by the method of multiple choice questions. In the first stage, in the competition candidates must answer questions of general knowledge, as well as a test of skills and work efficiency, which replaces work experience, which will now have significantly less weight in terms of points. The skills and work efficiency test assesses linguistic and numerical reasoning, analytical, problem-solving and prioritization skills in the workplace, as well as characteristics related to efficiency and quality at work.

The weightages are 50% for each subject and those who pass the 55 marks basis for each subject/test and overall will be successful.

Subsequently, the successful candidates will enter a scoreboard by category and branch/specialty (first stage), in order to participate, in a second stage, in announcements to fill positions in corresponding branches/specialties in public bodies – central administration, Decentralized Administrations, independent authorities, NPDD , NPID, under the supervision of the ministry and OTAs of the first and second degree.

Recruitment by institution will be done on a priority basis, based on exam scores, in which additional formal qualifications (postgraduate, foreign languages, etc.) and locality will be counted.

The detailed distribution of seats by institution, seat, category and branch/specialty will be carried out with the announcements of the second stage of the competition, in which those who succeed in the first stage will participate.
