The prosecution against her is as a felony and was brought by the First Instance Prosecutor’s Office, as in addition to the concealment of assets, it was established that no declarations had been submitted during the three years from 2012 to 2015.
The widow of the well-known journalist Maria Karras will be summoned after the prosecution against her in an apology by a competent investigator who will carry out further research on the case.
The case came to justice after investigations carried out – after the death of Giorgos Trakas – by the Anti-Money Laundering Authority by order of the head of Charalambos Vourliotis.
According to the conclusion drawn up by Mr. Vourliotis, it emerged that Maria Karra did not declare assets every year that amounted to three million euros and came either from joint bank accounts with Giorgos Trakas or from the acquisition of new real estate.
