It will be preceded by the creation of an online network with interconnected databases of the Forestry Service, the Greek Police and the Hunting Organizations.

At the same time, with the proposal of the K.S.E., the supporting documents provided for the issuance of a Hunting Permit will require the submission of a certificate of the hunter’s participation in pro-game and pro-environmental actions, during the previous hunting year. The Deputy Minister of Environment and Energy, Giorgos Amyras, stated: “Hunting, as it is carried out in our country, is in line with the strictest criteria established by the European Union, but also with all accepted international scientific and biological data, both for game and protected species. The time has come for hunting to move into a new era, the digital one. We are working closely with the President of K.S.E., George Arambatzis and the Secretary, Nikos Stathopoulos, planning incentives for hunters to participate in pro-environmental actions».
