The departure of the excursions for the three days of Clean Monday also went smoothly today. The traffic was increased since the morning, but without creating particular problems, except occasionally at the toll roads of Elefsina and Afidna.
According to the official traffic data, today (25/2) from 06:00 in the morning until 6:00 in the afternoon, a total of 76,408 cars passed through both national networks (46,600 to Corinth and 29,808 to Lamia). Additionally, from yesterday (24/2) at 06:00 in the morning until today (25/2) at 06:00 in the morning, 65,000 cars passed the toll to Corinth and 52,826 cars to Lamia.
It is recalled that due to the increased traffic of excursionists, both the personnel and the means of the Greek Police, mainly the Traffic Police Services, are on increased operational readiness, while increased measures have been taken throughout the country’s road network, with the aim of the safe movement of citizens and the prevention of traffic accidents.
