The city of Patras lives again in intense carnival rhythms, after three years of “absence”, due to the measures taken to protect against COVID-19.
Thousands of carnival goers and visitors enjoy moments of fun and carefree fun, while the carnival events that conclude during the weekend, with the two big parades and the closing ceremony, are characterized by great participation, satire, subversion, ingenuity, creation, imagination and joy.
Wanting to send messages of hope and optimism everywhere, more than 50,000 carnival workers – members of the 139 “hidden treasure” crews – are preparing to give their best and offer a spectacular spectacle with their colorful and imaginative costumes, but also with their inspired constructions.
The first big parade will start at 6 pm.
This particular parade is also called a foot parade, because the constructions and floats of the crews are not presented, but only their members parade in their uniforms. Tonight, therefore, a spectacular spectacle is expected to unfold in the center of Patras, with the lighting, the fast flow, the colors and the fun giving sparkle and splendor to the night of the last Saturday of the patrnal carnival.
