There were 22 arrests, 1,363 violations for not using a mask and the suspension of 35 stores. At the same time, in Syntagma Square, during the change of time, 60 violations were confirmed for not using a mask by pedestrians.
In particular, according to ELAS data, yesterday, New Year, 67,549 inspections were carried out, of which 33,728 at the Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos”.

• 349 infringements for not using a mask and related infringements and an equal number of fines of 300 euros were imposed, as follows:

44 in Crete,

22 in Central Macedonia,
21 in the North Aegean,
17 in the Peloponnese,
17 in Western Greece,
12 in the Ionian Islands,
8 in the South Aegean,
6 in Thessaly,
6 in Western Macedonia and
2 in Eastern Macedonia and Thrace.
5 violations for restriction of movement by imposing an equal number of fines of 300 euros in the North Aegean.
48 violations and 6 arrests for rules of operation of shops, private companies, etc. violations of the relevant legislation (prohibition of operation, non-use of mask, percentage of square meter per person, etc.).
In the above cases, the following sanctions were imposed for violation of suspension of operation and related violations of the relevant provisions. Specifically:
In Thessaloniki,
– Arrest of an owner and a fine of 5,000 euros in a store of health interest, with the imposition of a 15-day suspension of operation, for the use of music and exceeding the opening hours.
– Arrest of a temporary manager and a fine of 5,000 euros in a store of health interest, with the imposition of a 15-day suspension, for the use of music and service of standing customers, as well as the arrest of a customer for violation of article 285 of the Penal Code.
– Arrest of a person for violation of article 285 of the Penal Code.
– 2 violations of 300 euros for not using a mask, by shop customers.
– 1 violation in a store, for not posting a sign of operating rules.
In Central Macedonia,
– Arrest of an owner and a fine of 5,000 euros in a store of health interest, with the imposition of a 15-day suspension of operation, for serving too many customers and violation of opening hours and 4 violations to customers for non-compliance with the prescribed distances.
– 5,000 euros fine in a store of health interest, with the imposition of a 15-day suspension of operation, for customer service without the necessary certificates and 1 violation to the customer.
– 16 violations of 300 euros, for not using a mask, outdoors.
– 6 violations of 300 euros, for not using a mask, by a driver and vehicle passengers.
– 1 violation for deprivation of the necessary certificates to a store customer.
– 1 violation of 300 euros, for not using a mask, by a customer of a store.
In Western Greece, the owner was arrested and fined 5,000 euros in a store of health interest, with the imposition of a 15-day suspension for the use of music.
In Eastern Macedonia and Thrace,
– 10 violations of 300 euros, for not using a mask, by employees and customers of stores.
– 2 violations of 300 euros, for not using a mask, in the waiting area of ​​intercity buses and outside.
In the Ionian Islands,
– 5,000 euros fine to a person for quarantine violation.
– 12 violations of 300 euros, for not using a mask, outdoors.
In Crete
– 3 violations of 300 euros, for non-use of a mask, by employees, and shop owner.
