Only 20 days ago, railway workers were talking about dangerous conditions in the operation of trains.
In a complaint they made, they said: “We will not wait for the accident to come, to see them shed crocodile tears making findings.”
“As long as protective measures are not taken in workplaces and the safe operation and traffic of trains, there will be no end to accidents,” they said in a statement dated February 7, 2023.

Two more accidents in the previous days were added to the long list with Trains 51 and 61 respectively, putting the fellow Driver and passengers in immediate danger. As long as protective measures are not taken in the workplaces and the safe operation and traffic of the trains, there is no end to the accidents.
It is now infuriating that these are an almost daily phenomenon and that no substantial measure is taken, that no improvement in the infrastructure and operation is initiated, that the agencies involved are not checked and that no responsibilities are sought. Like the previous Governments, the current one has other priorities and not the safe movement of citizens. They perceive security as a cost.
The Ministry finds money for the various contracts, but to finally complete the railway infrastructure and the safe traffic systems O X I ! “they’ve been around for a while… they’ll end at some point.”
RAS selectively intervenes, leaving extensive gaps and serious deficiencies in the defense. We will not wait for the coming crash to see them shed crocodile tears making findings. The Railway Unions and the P.O.S. they can no longer tolerate this dangerous situation. What else are they waiting for to intervene? What else needs to happen?
Safety issues must come to the fore. To be at the center of meetings in the workplace. Workers must judge politically and unionically those who are responsible and continue to blow the whistle indifferently, those who are indifferent to what is happening. To judge those political commissars and union representatives who underestimate and are indifferent to all those factors which when intersected create daily accidents and misfortunes.
