In the investigation theft of a large amount of olive oil, reaching approximately eight tonsthe police proceeded, while for this case a case file was filed for aggravated theft against five men and one woman, whose full details have been identified.

In particular, according to the police, the defendants committed, from January 8 to February 9, three thefts in two warehouses and a farm located in the area of ​​the Municipality of Erymanthos Achaia, removing a quantity of olive oil, approximately eight tons and worth 40,000 euros, a quantity of olive trees, empty oil containers and a quantity of fertilizer, with a total value of 1,000 euros.

The defendants, as emerged from the police investigations, used as a means of committing the thefts a private truck, which they rented from a car rental company in Patras, while they went to two olive mills and sold 2,174 kg and 3,236 kg of olive oil, respectively.

According always with the police, the receipt of part of its quantity olive oil took place at the house of the accused woman in the area of ​​Western Achaia, at different time intervals, from the olive mills.

The case filed against the defendants will be submitted to the public prosecutor of Patras.
