In another post a few hours after the tragedy, Noams Katz said he was shocked and saddened by the horrific train crash in Tempe. “Our hearts go out to the families of the victims. We pray for the speedy recovery of the injured. The Israeli embassy is closely monitoring the situation and is in contact with the Greek authorities.”
In fact, the Israeli flag at the Israeli embassy in Athens flies at half mast. “Israel mourns the tragedy and losses in Greece. There are no words” is emphasized in a corresponding post.
