The 20-year-old who suffered breathed his last in the early hours of Friday heart attackwhile playing football with his friends in Thessaloniki.
The young student has been hospitalized for the last week in a critical condition in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit “Papageorgiou”.
It is recalled that on the afternoon of February 22, the unfortunate young man had gone with his company to 5×5 pitches on Agios Dimitriou Street in the center of Thessaloniki. While they were warming up, the 20-year-old felt unwell and left the pitch. A few minutes later he felt better and entered the field to play again, but suffered a heart attack. A trainer who was on the scene immediately did resuscitation efforts with a defibrillator on the young man.

The 20-year-old regained consciousness, but it seems that he later suffered new heart attack. Ambulances from EKAV had immediately arrived at the scene and for 1.5 hours they made efforts to restore the senses of the young student.
The emergency doctors of “Papageorgiou” fought to keep him alive and after an hour managed to revive him.
THE funeral of the 20-year-old will take place tomorrow, Saturday, March 4.
