Euroleague: Real Madrid is looking for a double, Spanish civil war in the Basque Country

by

The action continues unabated on Friday Euroleague.

The program begins in Turkey, with the match between Fenerbahce and Virtus Bologna (19:45, NovaSports Start). The hosts are on a two-game winning streak in the EuroLeague and are in fourth place with a 15-9 record, so they will definitely need a win against the mighty Italians (12-13) to continue on the path of home advantage.

The second very interesting match is at “Astroball”, where the Villerban will welcome her Real Madrid (21:00, NovaSports 4). Madrid are in second place with a 17-7 record, one game behind top-placed Olympiakos. Certainly, Chus Mateo’s team would not want to be beaten by one of the last teams in the standings, but Villeurbanne has proved to be a “giant killer” on many occasions, especially at home.

The schedule of matches concludes with probably the most entertaining of the day, the Spanish derby between Baskonia and Valencia (21:30, NovaSports 5). The two teams have exactly the same record (13-12) and are both fighting for a place in the top eight, so the match between them is expected to be exciting and will play a decisive role in the standings!

Friday’s program in detail:

Fenerbahce-Virtus Bologna (19:45, NovaSports Start)

Villeurbanne-Real Madrid (21:00, NovaSports 4)
