As the Police spokeswoman said Constantia Dimoglidou, 38 passengers remain hospitalized, of which 7 are in Intensive Care Units. The identification process is carried out by a team of the forensic laboratories of the Police and so far 36 dead have been identified. 11 families have already been informed and the process continues. As Mrs. Dimoglidou pointed out, the identification process does not stop throughout the 24 hours and other processes in the laboratories have been stopped in order to give absolute priority to the identification of the victims. The spokesperson clarified that those who were initially reported as missing are included in the dead. “At this point the mistake is made by some to add those who were reported by relatives as missing immediately after the accident to the number of dead who have been recovered. Those who were initially declared are included in the dead,” he said.

As the Fire Department spokesman said, Vasilios Vathrakogiannis, firefighters at the scene of the tragedy scan the shapeless masses of wagons, but also the ground, both for bodies and minimal biological material. The investigation will be completed by noon.
