Yesterday, the court found a retired police officer of the Magnesia Police Department, who sat in the defendant’s dock, not guilty beyond reasonable doubt, following a lawsuit filed by his 65-year-old ex-partner. She complained that he attacked her and beat her.

The 70-year-old was accused of punching his ex-partner in the chest and the case was heard yesterday after adjournment so that the 65-year-old could present the examination certificate from the Volos hospital.

She did not present a certificate, while the 70-year-old claimed that he was in love with her and would never harm her. He said he pushed her in the chest, but didn’t hit her.

According to what the victim reported, after the breakup she found him constantly in front of her and in every fight he told her “we will die together”.

The separation of the 70-year-old former police officer of the Magnesia Police Department with his 65-year-old partner last April had developed into an obsession. He watched her, held her hostage in his house, beat her, but yesterday it was not their past that was tried but the lawsuit of February 17th.

The woman, after a fight, went through the door of the police headquarters on February 17 and outside the police station she had set up a “carpet”. The 65-year-old, after declaring to the police that she was living a hell with threats, insults and surveillance, decided not to file a lawsuit because, as she said, “she listened to the police who advised her to show patience and calmness.”

But he did not know what had happened at the police station and when the woman came out of the police station he approached her, cursed her and punched her in the chest – according to her complaint, which was filed.
