The tragedy that has been unfolding since yesterday afternoon in Arta is indescribable. The hunt was fatal for a family that mourns the 33-year-old and lives hours of agony for the 16-year-old.
The 16-year-old shot his uncle, thinking that it was prey, and when he realized what had happened, he shot himself, as a result of which he was seriously injured.
The teenager was taken to Arta Hospital in critical condition. He had a transverse wound in the left hemithorax and severe injuries in the left lung.
Upon completion of the surgery, he was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit of the same Hospital and despite the seriousness of his condition, the treating doctors express restrained optimism about the course of his health.
It should be noted that the medical staff of the Arta hospital fought with time, while even doctors who were not on duty, hurried to strengthen the surgical team, in order to save valuable time and save the 16-year-old.
After the tragedy that was written, the Police proceeded to arrest the father of the 16-year-old as well as his uncle, his father’s brother. The first is accused of neglecting to supervise a minor and the second for violations of the law on weapons and forest legislation as he had his own weapon used by the minor.
