As regards the competition for the process of ranking candidates in a scoreboard by category and branch/specialty of University and Technology Education which was conducted on Saturday, there was a high participation rate of 71%
Thanks to all contributors for successful conduct of the ASEP pan-Hellenic competition but also to them 77,000 candidates who came under the psychological weight of the tragedy in Tempi, the president of ASEP addresses with his announcement Athanasios Papaioannou. For some delays experienced in playing the themes “although these were sent with absolute time consistency”, as he notes, states that he will look into the matter and underlines the need for a written competitive process with an emphasis on skills.
In particular, regarding the question of the subjects, Mr. Papaioannou points out that he received complaints from candidates about problems and delays observed during the reproduction of the subjects in some examination centers, although these were sent to the schools with absolute timeliness. He states that he and the Central Competition Committee will study them “with due attention as soon as we form a complete picture from the reports of the presidents of the examination centers”.
It goes without saying that the evaluation process starts immediately after the completion of the publication of the results. He also states his firm belief in the “need for a written competitive process that will shift even more towards skills».
The president of the Independent Authority thanks the ASEP workers who for “more than three months fought a daily battle on a seven-day basis” for the successful conduct of a process with high organizational requirements and challenges and which they continue for what needs to be done from now on on the one hand, the educational and administrative staff of the Ministry of Education for their participation in this effort.
He also thanks the approximately 77,000 candidates who “came to a demanding and innovative competition and in fact, in psychologically difficult conditions for all of us” He hopes that the results will justify their efforts and reminds that the competition concerns the ranking of candidates and not recruitment.

Regarding the competition for the process of ranking candidates in a table of scores by category and branch/specialty of university and technological education which was conducted on Saturday, there was a high participation rate of 71%. 76,799 candidates took part out of an initial total of 108,229, while 54,915 (70%) and 21,884 (73%) participated in the PE category. Finally, the questions/answers of the written exam will be posted on the ASEP website (www.asep.gr) within the next few days.
