The care and affection of the staff of the clinic of the Attica zoological park is enjoyed by the 4-month-old white female tiger that was found abandoned and in a very bad condition on Clean Monday under a garbage can outside the park, in Spata.

The beautiful tiger unfortunately does not have much hope of life, according to the park’s director, Jean-Jacques Le Sueur, as he is paralyzed in his hind limbs and suffers from osteopenia, which causes his bones to crumble.

According to a statement from the park, “our veterinarians, with the help of specialized external partners, continue to perform a series of tests on him in order to determine his health status more precisely. This is an animal about 3 months old, in very poor physical condition, and its health has been assessed as critical. In particular, it is a feline, which has not received proper care and nutrition, as a result of which it presents serious, possibly irreversible, musculoskeletal or other health problems.”

Next week he will undergo further tests where it will finally be decided whether he has a chance for a good and painless life or not…

Until then, the tabby receives the love and attention of the people at the park who do their best to comfort and care for it.

According to the president of the Panhellenic Philanthropic and Environmental Federation, Natasa Bombolaki, “the young animal is very exhausted from the bad diet given to it by the criminals who owned it, it cannot stand on its feet, dehydrated, etc.” According to her, since the day before yesterday he has been eating good food and taking vitamins and is looking better, while it is planned to do a “full check on the animal, MRI, complete hematological and for vitamin deficiency”.

He further notes that a first x-ray showed a veterinary ileus, which means he has been operated on, while he only weighs 12kg due to everything that has happened to him, adding that he looks friendly, “meaning he is not reacting, probably because of his weakness”.
