(News Bulletin 247) – Tarkett yesterday unveiled its 2022 Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSR) report. Produced by an independent third party, this report highlights the company’s performance in terms of sustainable development.
In 2022, Tarkett’s ambitious climate targets to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 were endorsed by the independent Science Based Target (SBTi) initiative.
CDP, the leading global climate reporting and performance platform, has recognized the company’s climate action with an A- level rating.
In addition, the sustainability rating agency EcoVadis awarded Tarkett a gold medal and ranked it among the top 2% of companies out of all 90,000 organizations assessed in 172 countries.
In 2022, 43% of the company’s total energy consumption came from renewable energies.
‘We have to find a way to do more with less. For us, this means less waste, lower emissions and more well-being. Doing more with less is our mission and our state of mind,” comments Fabrice Barthélemy, CEO of Tarkett.
