They were arrested, Saturday morning hours (11/3), by OPKE police officers. of the Attica Security Directorate, three mena 21-year-old citizen and two 27-year-old foreigners for dishonesty, dangerous driving, violence against employees and theft by complicity.

The aforementioned police officers spotted two cars in the Amarousi area, with two occupants each, deemed them suspicious and called them in for an inspection.

At the sight of the policemen, the drivers of the cars sped off to escape and the policemen followed them, constantly calling them to stop the vehicles.

While trying to escape, the vehicles moved in different directions.

One car left Attiki Odos and stopped in the area of ​​Lykovrysi.

The occupants of the stopped vehicle got out and fled on foot and the police managed, after a foot chase that followed, to immobilize the 21-year-old driver of the vehicle, who in order to thwart his arrest resisted vigorously, hitting and injuring one of the policemen.

After a search carried out on the above car, they were found and confiscated number of cables containing copper about -300- kilos, lots of tools and -2- pairs of gloves.

At the same time, the police officers informed the Immediate Action center about the other car, for which searches were given at all stations.

Finally, the vehicle was spotted by OPKE police officers. in the area of ​​Ano Liosion and after immobilizing the two 27-year-old foreigners who were on board, they took them to the Amarousi Security Department where the 21-year-old had been taken earlier.

As it emerged from the preliminary investigation of the Amarousi Security Department, the cables were removed in the afternoon of Friday (10/3) and in the morning of Saturday from a renewable energy installation.

The defendants were taken to the competent Prosecutor, while the investigation continues to identify the person who escaped.
