Trisay was held today in Agia Pelagia, the area where two people – a man and a woman – lost their lives, swept away by the rushing waters of the rain, last October.
Relatives and friends left a flower in their memory, clarifying that the unjust loss of their people still causes them great pain.
At the trisagio, the priest moved all those present since, apart from Konstantinos (Vergakis) and Eugenia (Kirilova – Sifakis), he commemorated all 57 victims who met a tragic and unjustified death in Tempi.
At the same time, residents of Agia Pelagia, which was affected by the torrential rains of last October, protested the situation that prevails in the place five months later, since, as they pointed out, projects that are considered necessary for the shielding of the area have not been completed, and even in view of the start of the tourist season, as Agia Pelagia is one of the most touristic areas of Heraklion.
