Symbolic commemorative event to the 57 victims of the train tragedy in Tempi was held this morning in the forecourt of the Volos Courthouse, by the Bar Association, while its members took part in abstaining from their duties, following a recommendation of the coordinating committee of the presidents of the country’s Bar Associations .

The lawyers gathered in the forecourt of the Courthouse, holding 57 black balloons which symbolized the victims of the tragedy, observed emind of minute silence and they read a resolution.

In his statement the president of the Bar Association Volou Christos Stratigopoulos stated that the important thing is to clarify the case and according to the plenary session of the coordination committee of the Bar Associations to file a legal representation for the case.
The president of the DSB asked that they not be exhausted in jerky movements, shouts and whispers that will last a while, but that they should be led to a result: In the decisive claim, the control should reach the end, be absolutely reliable and assign responsibilities where they belong.
“In this context, after the decision of the plenary session, there is already a statement of representation of support for the class on behalf of the Bar Associations and this is a process that will give us the right to closely monitor these developments”, pointed out Mr. Stratigopoulos.
