An alternative operation plan for each state-of-the-art service is to be prepared by the public bodies to date, as due to the large spread of the Omicron mutation and the many cases of coronavirus, it has sounded the alarm.
According to “Kathimerini”, the Ministry of Interior with an urgent document requested the preparation of Plan B, in order to deal with the possibility of being stripped of key services by employees.
Each manager should ensure and identify the human resources per branch and specialty that are at least required in order to continue the operation of key services.
The plan provides for the transfer of employees between services, if the need arises.
A similar document was issued in the first phase of the pandemic, in March 2020.
At present, however, the situation is considered to be easier to manage, as quarantine days have been reduced to five, while much of the staff has been vaccinated.
At the same time, about 2,000 NSS health workers are in quarantine because they have been infected with the virus.
