The cavalry will not finally parade in the center of Athens during the celebration of March 25, despite the impressive last Saturday’s midnight rehearsal in the Constitution.

According to sources of the Ministry of National Defense, “taking into account all security parameters, Ili Ippikou will not participate in the March 25 Military Parade as it was deemed appropriate to give more time for the familiarization of the horses. Ili’s training will continue as normal.”

For example, the following will take part in the parade:

● Phalanxes of infantry divisions of the Army.

● Motorized units of the Army, where, among other things, the newly acquired Marder 1A3 Armored Combat Vehicles (AAC) will be paraded for the first time in Athens.

● Phalanxes of infantry divisions and a motorized division of the Air Force with “PATRIOT” and “VELOS” anti-aircraft systems.

● Phalanxes of infantry units of the Navy.

● Marching phalanxes of male and female student sections of the Military Schools of the ED and the SA.

● Motorized units and phalanxes of infantry units of the Security Forces.
During the parade, there will be air traffic crossings, as below:

● Army AH-64 (APACHE), NH-90, KIOWA WARRIOR, UH-1H, CH-47D (CHINOOK) and Navy SIKOR S-70 AEGEAN HAWK helicopters.

● RAFALE, M-2000-5, F-4E (PHANTOM) and SPITFIRE MJ755 fighter jets, as well as the first time F-16C/D VIPER FIGHTING FALCON fighters and T-6A TEXAN II 120 trainers.

● Helicopters of the Security Forces.
