Traffic regulations will come into force tomorrow March 25 due to the holding of the military parade in Athens and Thessaloniki, according to EL.AS.

In particular, according to the Police, stopping and parking will be gradually prohibited, as well as vehicle traffic, as follows:

Prohibition of stopping & parking and gradual stoppage of vehicular traffic from 06:00 until the end of the Military parade on the avenues and streets below and on the perpendicular ones up to the first parallel street:

◦ Vass. Sofias Avenue, in the section between Vass. Kon/nos and Vass. Amalia Avenues and in both (2) traffic streams.

◦ Date Atticus, along its entire length.

◦ Bas. George II, along its entire length.

◦ Bas. George I, along its entire length.

◦ L. Vas. Amalia, along its entire length in both (2) traffic streams.

◦ El. Venizelou (University), along its entire length.

◦ Pl. Omonia.

◦ Piraeus, in the section between Pl. Omonia and Ieras Odos in both (2) traffic streams.

◦ Athena, along its entire length in both (2) traffic streams.

◦ St. Konstantinou, along its entire length.

◦ Pl. Karaiskakis.

◦ October 28th (Patision), in the section between El. Venizelos (University) and Alexandra Street in both (2) traffic streams.

◦ Th. Diligiannis, in the section between Pl. Karaiskakis and I. Metaxa Street in both (2) traffic streams.

◦ Pl. Constitution.

◦ Philhellenic, along its entire length.

◦ Stadium, along its entire length.

◦ L. Sygrou, in the section between Am. Frantzis and Dionysiou Areopagitou in both (2) traffic streams.

◦ Academy, along its entire length.

◦ Ath. Diakou, along its entire length in both (2) traffic streams.

• Prohibition of standing & parking and gradual stoppage of vehicle traffic from 06:00 until the end of the events at the Holy Metropolitan Church of Athens, as follows:

◦ Metropolis, along its entire length and on its diagonals up to the first parallel street.

◦ Aeolou, in the section between Ermou and Hadrianou streets, as well as on its perpendiculars up to the first parallel street.

◦ Ermou, in the section between Pl. Asomatos and Aiolou street.

Also, according to ELAS, modifications will be made to the routes of the Mass Transportation during the above time intervals.

Traffic regulations in the municipality of Vari-Voulas-Vouliagmeni

Traffic regulations will be implemented tomorrow, Saturdayalso in the Municipality of Vari-Voulas-Vouliagmeni.

Specifically:

* On L. Athena, in its section from Panos Street to Phaethontos Street and in both traffic streams, during the hours 10:00 – 13:00,

* Right traffic lane of Posidonos Avenue, at the height of Nymphon Square, traffic flow towards Athens, during the hours 11:00′ to 12:00′.

Due to the traffic restrictions, drivers can follow the following indicative alternative routes:

* Direction to Sounio:

Kavouriou St.-Letous-L. Athena etc

* Direction to Piraeus:

Panos-Faethontos-L. Athena etc.

Drivers are requested, for their better service and to avoid additional traffic problems, to avoid the passage of their vehicles on the above streets and boulevards during the mentioned time period and to follow the signals and instructions of the traffic controllers.

Traffic regulations in Thessaloniki

In Thessaloniki, tomorrow, Saturday, March 25 from 03.00 until the end of the parade, stopping and parking will not be allowed on the streets, Megalou Alexandrou Avenue, 30th of October, Stratou Avenue, in its section from 3rd September Street to Kavtanzoglou Street, Anonymous Street east of the square Electric, which connects V.Georgiou with M.Alexandrou, Nikolaou Germanou Avenue, Ermou, in its section from Karolou Dil Street to Agia Sophia Street.

On Saturday, March 25, from 07.00, the traffic of all vehicles will be suspended on the streets Megalou Alexandrou, 30th of October, Kallidopoulou, in its section from Vass. Olgas Avenue to Megalou Alexandrou, Stratigou Kakavos Avenue, Athan. Soulioti, in its section from Kallidopoulou Street to Kakavou Street, Stratou Avenue, in its section from 3rd September Street to Kavtanzoglou Street, Karaiskaki, in its section from Vas. Olgas Avenue to Megalou Alexandrou Avenue, Nikolaou Germanou.

Depending on the traffic conditions, traffic interruptions will also take place on the surrounding roads. Similar traffic measures will be taken in other Municipalities and Communities of the Prefecture of Thessaloniki where parades will take place.
