A great action for strays as well as for domesticated ones is organized in Perama on the occasion of World Stray Animals Day – It concerns dogs from all regions of Attica
On Tuesday, April 4, when the World Stray Animals Daythe Environmental Association of Municipalities of Athens – Piraeus (PESYDAP) and the Intermunicipal Center for the Care of Stray Animals (DIKEPAZ) are planning an event that has never before been held in our country, on such a scale.
From 12.00 noon to 5.00 pm on that day, the DIKEPAZ veterinarians will carry out completely free electronic marking (microchip) and vaccination against rabies and leptospirosis, to all the dogs that their guardians will bring to the DIKEPAZ facilities in Schistos Perama.
The provision of these services will concern dogs from any region of Attica, regardless of whether they come from PESYDAP member municipalities or not.
As he notes the president of PESYDAP Mr. Gourdomichalis, “with this action the opportunity is provided to dog owners of the Attica basin to vaccinate their dogs against zoonotic diseases, but also to identify them electronically and register them in the relevant registers provided for by law, without any expense from part of them”.
To facilitate the process, those who will come to DIKEPAZ on that day should necessarily have with them:
- The dog’s health booklet (if it does not exist, it will be issued on site with the care of DIKEPAZ).
- Police Identification Card and TIN (Tax Registration Number) of the owner, so that the animal can be electronically marked and registered in the official register of the competent ministry.
