With the regulation submitted, nominal sections are mentioned, while there is also a provision for what is not mentioned
A solution to a problem of many years was provided by the regulation submitted to the Parliament, which is the result of close cooperation between the Minister of Rural Development and Food, Giorgos Georgantas, the Minister of Education and Religious Affairs, Niki Kerameos and the Deputy Minister of Education and Religious Affairs, Angelos Syrigos.
The issue had arisen after the passing of the Gavroglou law, when the specific schools were transformed from TEIs to HEIs in 2018 and 2019.
This regulation concerns thousands of five-year graduate agronomists, foresters and ichthyologists who were literally “hostage” since their professional rights were unregulated until today.
Now, with the regulation that was filed, nominal departments are mentioned, while there is also a provision for those that are not mentioned, that at the request of the senate of the respective HEI at the Ministry of Agricultural Development and Food and after the opinion of GEOTEE, which is provided after 60 days, but also the opinion of the National Authority of Higher Education, there will be new approvals for these departments, without the need for new legislative intervention in the future.
