Next Monday, April 3rd, the first IC on the Athens – Thessaloniki – Athens axis will go on the tracks again, based on OSE’s planning. Initially one pair of routes will be operated, while from 7th April there will be 2 pairs of routes and 3 pairs of routes from 11th April.

In particular, as stated in a statement of the Hellenic Railway Organization, “given the planning of the Organization for the safe re-operation of the railway, in the immediate future the implementation of additional routes will begin, according to the following planning:

– On Monday, April 3, 2023, the first route 882/887 Athens – Kalambaka – Athens as well as the first IC on the axis Athens – Thessaloniki – Athens will take place.

– On Friday, April 7, 2023, the second IC Athens – Thessaloniki – Athens, the Athens Suburban routes in the Piraeus-Magoula-Piraeus section, as well as the Athens-Leianokladi-Athens route will be added.

– On M. Tuesday, April 11, 2023, the third IC Athens – Thessaloniki – Athens is added.

Next week also the itineraries will be announced on the lines Larisa-Volos, Paleofarsalos-Kalambaka and Thessaloniki-Larissa.

– Ano Liosia – Airport

– Ano Liosia – Kanza

– Athens – Chalkida

– Suburban Patras

– Olympia – Pyrgos – Katakolo

– Diakofto – Kalavrita

– Iconium- Thriasio – Thessaloniki – Idomeni (freight)

– Thessaloniki – Strymonas – Promahonas and Alexandroupolis – Ormenio (freight).

“We continue to work on the full restoration of routes throughout the rail network, with safety and passenger service in mind,” OSE states in its announcement.
