Apostolos Lytras, the lawyer of the mother of the 12-year-old girl from Kolonos, revealed on “Our Breakfast” with Fai Skordas details about the attack by a masked man with a knife at the house where the girl lives, on Monday night, saying characteristically: “What they want to succeed is for her to testify no more, or when we get to a good point, for the child to be so frightened that she shuts her mouth.’

According to Mr. Lytra “this is not one, but three individual incidents”.

In the previous days, an unknown person threw stones, breaking the glass in the little girl’s room and then fled.

The second incident happened on Saturday in the presence of the 12-year-old’s brother, according to whom an unknown man met him outside his house, giving him the characteristic “don’t talk” gesture and then he also ran away.

The highlight, according to the lawyer, was last night’s traumatic experience of the little girl, who was confronted, in his own home, by a hooded man who was wearing boots and holding a knife.

Mr. Lytras emphasized that the hooded man did not give the impression of a thief, but of a clear threat, since he did not aim to enter the house, but to scare the 12-year-old with the knife he pointed at her and then disappeared.

The lawyer continued by saying that the complaint was made yesterday, they are waiting for the reflexes of the authorities and custody will be requested, while he revealed that the girl’s request for a statement was rejected by the investigator.

Regarding the health condition of the child, he said that he has a slight injury to his arm and will be taken to the medical examiner.

Finally, Mr. Lytras expressed his anger towards the state, saying that “it is distant and there is no social care”.

“He needs to be monitored by a child psychologist and where he lives there is none. She had to travel 50 km to be seen by someone. It is even supposed that there was home teaching, while at first all they did was take books to the child at home and nothing else. Now the matter is settled.”

“It’s about a family with a lot of financial problems, with a mother in prison and an aunt trying to take care of everything. Society is not on the children’s side.”
