A multi-member criminal organization was dismantled by police officers of the General Affairs Department of the Narcotics Prosecution Sub-Directorate of Thessaloniki, after a wide-ranging police operation was carried out in areas of the Prefecture of Attica and, among other things, approximately nine kilograms of heroin were seized.

The seven arrested, members of the ring, are accused of procuring, possessing, forging, standardizing and trafficking large quantities of drugs within the Greek territory and mainly in the Prefectures of Attica, Thessaloniki and Magnesia. All of them are reportedly connected by family and friendly ties.

These are six Greeks and one foreigner, including a 35-year-old woman, a manager of the organization, with her two minor children, against whom a case file was filed, on a case-by-case basis, for the offenses of the criminal organization, violation of the Law on drug addicts substances, violation of the Weapons Act and neglect of supervision of a minor. Furthermore, the details of a 33-year-old citizen, the leader of the ring and the husband of the 35-year-old woman, as well as one more of their accomplices, were identified.

The investigation revealed that the couple of the leading members of the organization used their two daughters and another minor to hide the drugs and receive them from places that were hidden, but also to transport them for further delivery and trafficking by other members of the organization.

In fact, as part of the investigation of the case, at the beginning of last month in the area of ​​Magnesia Prefecture, the 32-year-old brother of the leader of the ring was also arrested, while transporting more than two kilograms of heroin and a quantity of cocaine.

In this particular police operation, searches were carried out in outdoor areas and in apartments used in areas of the Prefecture of Attica as well as in two passenger vehicles used for their movements and the transport of drugs, during which a total of almost 9 kilograms of heroin were found and confiscated. small amount of cocaine, seedlings and quantity of cannabis, two pistols, cartridges, etc.

Those arrested will be taken to the competent prosecutor.
